Hello everyone! My name is Bilal and I am a Wedding, engagement and lifestyle photographer based in Central NJ, but available for travel anywhere. My style of photography is mostly documentary with a touch of fine art and high fashion. I’m a seft taught photographer and have been shooting weddings for about 6 years now. I love shooting weddings because they are full of so much emotion, energy, and each wedding has a beautiful story of it’s own.
It’s a difficult decision to find a “favorite” wedding-only because I treat all my clients like family. And when you’re family, there are no favorites. This was a tough decision but I decided to choose Olivia and Julian’s wedding because of some very touching unforgettable moments.
I started off the day by arriving at Olivia’s house for some getting ready pictures. As a photographer, one thing I always look for is the quality of light in the environment I’m in. I remember having AMAZING light inside the house due to the house having a lot of windows.
I normally start the day with shots of the ring. As I was shooting the ring and other details, I remember the mother of the bride giving me instructions on what to do, but then Olivia immediately interjected by saying “Ma, he’s really good, he knows what he’s doing”. Hearing that really put a smile on my face. I love it when clients have faith in me and trust me that I’ll get them some awesome images. This was the ring shot I was working on, notice the reflection and the beautiful bokeh the shoes created in the background:
After the ring shot I moved on to a few getting ready photos.
I noticed a frame with an old photo of Olivia and her father which read “Today a Bride, Tomorrow a wife, Forever your little girl”. I immediately thought, why not recreate that moment. This was before and after photo:
Things got a little teary eyed after the bride presented her parents with a heartfelt letter of gratitutde:
The limo was running a little late, so I decided to capture a few more portraits. I was able to capture these stunning bridal portraits with the bride standing near the living room window:
Then I saw a beautiful armoire that I imagined would create a beautiful backdrop. I was able to create this elegant portrait of the bride:
After the ceremony we headed over to a local park for some beautiful bride and groom portraits:
Concluded by a fun evening of good times and dancing.
For this last image I had asked the couple to step outside for just a couple minutes so that they could enjoy a quiet moment together. This was captured in front of the fountain at the venue:
