  • The City of Lights - Anchorage

We are headed north, way north... all the way to Alaska! Because Anchorage is in the dark most of the normal day lit hours in the winter, everyone puts up as many lights as they can to brighten up the city. Hence "The City of Lights" title was rightly given.

This invitation is a lively twist on the traditional wedding invitation, The Anchorage offers a layout incorporating one large photo of the bride and groom, flanked by three smaller photos of the couple. Choose from among a variety of script fonts and the perfect background color to flaunt your fabulous photos!

Anchorage is known for some pretty cool things that you may not realize! If you are ever interested in the day to day happenings in the city, visit Anchorage.net to find out about festivals, theater events, or outdoor recreation activities in the area.

Here are a few of the unique things in Anchorage.

    Chugach State Park

Anchorage has Chugach State Park, the third-largest state park in the nation. Listed as one of America's Best Top 10 State Parks, the Chugach boasts 200 miles of year-round trails, more than 50 glaciers and great wildlife viewing. The half-million-acre park is rich in recreational opportunities, with some of Alaska's most accessible hiking, biking, camping, trail running, climbing, skiing and snowmobiling.

    Breweries

If the great outdoors isn't really your thing, local brewers tap frothy favorites capturing the essence of Alaska – Polar Pale Ale, Arctic Rhino Coffee Porter, Sleeping Lady Fish On and BrewHouse Blonde, to name a few. Many local breweries have also have the perfect pairings for their ale lists, establishing a reputation as some of the finer restaurants and eateries in town.

    Dog Sledding

The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race starts on the streets of downtown Anchorage on the first weekend of March. But that's just the beginning of adventures with Alaska's state sport. Hop on the runners and discover dog sledding year round. Even in summer, glaciers provide plenty of chances to explore one of Alaska's oldest methods oftransportation. Mush!

  • Hammock Engagements

Choosing an unique concept for your engagement photo session is key! Mikey and Brady LOVE relaxing in a hammock together...so why not have a photographer capture those moments?! They did just that in this gorgeous engagement session by Alixann Loosle.

Check out a few of my favorites below.
