Winter Inspired Wedding Shoot

Event planning and design are two of my passions. Being able to work with my clients to bring their day and vision to life is truly a dream come true.

I started my career 12 years ago in the wedding industry. It was there I found my niche for design and love for weddings.  Today, I own and operate Kayla Cook Events. My company specializes in wedding coordination, event production and design.

This winter shoot was such a fun project for me. Being recently engaged myself, I had always dreamed of a winter wedding. So I enjoyed bringing the inspiration to life and working with some amazing Pacific Northwest wedding vendors.

We organized the shoot at Swiftwater Cellars, a beautiful venue in Suncadia Washington. I choose this venue for the shoot because it's absolutely stunning in the winter and considered a destination wedding venue being about an hour and half outside of Seattle.

The theme was Winter Romance, I used light blue and vintage gold pieces for the table decor and we mixed in deep reds with pops of light pink into the florals. My inspiration was really the winter season. Many couples in the pacific northwest plan their weddings between May and September, obviously our warmest and non-rainy months of the year. So, I wanted to showcase how you can have a gorgeous winter wedding.

The floral was fresh and dramatic, which really bought the shoot to life. The table setting was a collection of vintage pieces from the flatware to the cookie bar. The gown was elegant and the backdrop of the mountains was stunning. Every little detail came together to make a very elegant setting for a beautiful winter wedding.
