PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEBSITE. All users of this site agree that access to and use of this site are subject to the following terms and conditions and other applicable law. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not use this site.


Copyright
The entire content included in this site, including but not limited to text, graphics or code is copyrighted as a collective work under the United States and other copyright laws, and is the property of Basic Invite. The collective work includes works that are licensed to Basic Invite. Copyright 2003, Basic Invite ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Permission is granted to electronically copy and print hard copy portions of this site for the sole purpose of placing an order with Basic Invite or purchasing Basic Invite products. You may display and, subject to any expressly stated restrictions or limitations relating to specific material, download or print portions of the material from the different areas of the site solely for your own non-commercial use, or to place an order with Basic Invite or to purchase Basic Invite products. Any other use, including but not limited to the reproduction, distribution, display or transmission of the content of this site is strictly prohibited, unless authorized by Basic Invite. You further agree not to change or delete any proprietary notices from materials downloaded from the site.

Order Time
Due to the delicate nature of wedding invitations we strongly recommend you allow yourself plenty of time to receive your final order. While our average order takes 2 to 3 weeks from order placement to arrival on your doorstep, we recommend you place your order no later than 1 month prior to your mail out date. Of course the more time you can give us the better.

While we always strive to do our best to ensure your order arrives within the time frame and quality you expect, we are not perfect. You should leave yourself enough time for us to correct any potential issues that may arise with your final order. We do not offer any compensation of any kind if you do not allow this time.

Processing Options
Standard:

Rush: ($40 extra)

When you place your order you are required to select one of two processing options. Priority and Rush. Time frames for these options are based off of the following steps:

Fulfillment Process

Phase 1: Initial Design
4 Business Days (Priority) or 2 Business Days (Rush) after your order is placed and your wording, photos, design instructions etc. are received we will email you your first eProof. Your electronic proof will be sent in Adobe Acrobat (*.pdf) format allowing you to print your design out to scale for more thorough review. In this email you are instructed to reply via email with your approval or with changes. Use of this electronic proof for anything other than proofing is strictly prohibited and is in direct violation of copyright law.

- Phase 2: Design Revisions
2 Business Days (Priority) or 1 Business Day (Rush) after we receive any email from you with revisions or changes we will send you a new email with a new electronic proof of your design. You are able to have our designers create unlimited versions of your invitation using this method until you are satisfied. All changes must be emailed for proof of change. Phone call changes are welcome only for clarification of written instructions. Within 10 min. of sending your email of changes to us you will receive a confirmation email of receipt from Basic Invite. In the event you do not receive this confirmation email it is your responsibility to call or resend the email to ensure its delivery.

The colors of your eProof are going to look different from computer screen to computer screen so this should only be used as a ballpark gauge for color selection. Printing of the proof on your own printer, will not be close at all to the color of your final order. Do not use this to gauge color. If you are concerned with the final order printing out in specific colors, you are invited to order a printed proof (an additional $30). Keep in mind that the process of emailing back and forth with more than one set of revisions will delay the estimated arrival time of your final order proportionally. If you do not want your order to be delayed you should be clear in your changes and revisions and your initial design instructions to minimize time spent designing.

Please keep in mind we are unable to expedite the printing time of your final order due to excessive revisions. Multiple revisions are a normal part of the custom invitation experience; you should plan accordingly when selecting your processing method.

- Phase 3: Printing
3 Business Days (Priority and Rush) after we receive approval of your electronic proof your order will be sent for final print. Changes to quantities or to the order should be made before final approval is given. All changes to the design(s) should be taken care of during the electronic proofing stage.

- Phase 4: Shipping
Because of their excellent track record we only ship final orders through FedEx. When you place your order you have the opportunity to select your shipping method. This method may be changed before giving final approval to accommodate time crunches. You are responsible to contact us to upgrade your shipping method.

All final orders are shipped via third party vendors, namely but not limited to; FEDEX, UPS, and USPS. We cannot be held responsible for shipping delays or reschedules put into place by these companies. If your order does not arrive within your expected timeframe please contact customer service immediately and we will work with you to resolve the issue.

Design Copyright
You must own the copyright to any photo, clip art, or any other graphic you submit for use on your order. By submitting these files and ideas you are agree that you own the copyright or have written permission from the copyright holder of the submitted item(s). We will not copy another companies design. By approving your order for final print you agree that your design is within these bounds.

Basic Invite (a division of Bacik Inc.) holds the copyright to all designs, whether initial idea is submitted by client or not. By placing your order you agree to release copyright to any design you bring to us for any future use.

Refund Policy\Order Cancellation
To ensure you are satisfied with your product we have a two step approval process. Initial Design and Design Revisions. Throughout these stages we will work with you for as long as your deadline will allow, ensuring you will be 100% happy. Before continuing onto the next step of the process you are required to sign off that everything is correct. If something is not correct it is your responsibility to notify Basic Invite via email before giving approval. Claims for defects regarding the design, wording, etc, must be made before giving final approval. Failure to make such claims before printing the final order shall constitute acceptance. In the event of a missed claim, the customer shall be responsible for all initial fees as well as any re-print fees. Basic Invite reserves the right to refuse business, or seize work on any order for any reason.

Refunds
We will make every effort to ensure your order is processed efficiently. However, in the event that:
  • Your order is canceled before initial design is started, simply contact us for a full refund.
  • Basic Invite chooses to seize work on your order, you may be entitled to a full refund.
  • You wish to cancel your order before issuing final approval, simply contact us and we will be happy to issue a refund less applicable design fees*.
  • Order is delivered late, whether it arrived or not, we will determine the appropriate refund for all or a portion of your shipping.
  • A package arrives 30 days late due to an error on our end or a courier, we will refund your entire order including shipping.
  • Overnight or 2 Day shipping was selected and the package was shipped ground, we will refund the difference in shipping costs.
  • Items are damaged in shipping and there is not time for a reprint, you may be eligible for a partial refund.
  • Basic Invite is at fault for not completing the design of items within our promised processing deadline, you may be eligible for a partial refund.
Note: Applicable fees are defined as a $90 for invitation designs and $15 for insert/enclosure designs. In most cases you are eligible to receive these fees back in the form of in-store credit for a future order.


Reprints
We will gladly reprint your order if:
  • We ship a lesser quantity than you ordered, we will reprint additional cards and reship free of charge.
  • Your order arrives and cards or envelopes are damaged, we will reprint and ship it at no additional cost.
  • You accidentally receive the wrong order, we will reprint and ship it at no additional cost.
  • Should a printing error occur on our end we will reprint and ship it at not additional cost.
Reprint Time frames:
Most reprints will be on your doorstep within 3-4 business days of notifying us of the issue. In most cases we are able to reprint and ship your order in 1 business day. Orders originally shipped via free ground service typically receive a free upgrade to FedEx 2 day shipping. Orders with an already upgraded shipping method of either Overnight or 2 day are shipped this same method.
Unfortunately, we are not able to issue refunds if our reprint turnaround time does not suite your needs. 3-4 business days is very reasonable and can be afforded by almost all customers.

Pocket fold Shipping
Samples and Swatch Orders
Sample orders typically take 2-4 business days to assemble. Samples are shipped First Class and typically arrive 4-10 business days after assembly. If you do not receive the samples within this time frame, please contact us. We have experienced frequent troubles with USPS.
Pocket Fold Orders
Approximately 80% of our Pocket folds are IN STOCK at all times. Please contact us if you are in a rush or need your order by a certain date. We do not contact customers regarding back ordered items unless the wait will exceed 2 week production time.

Under normal circumstances all Pocket fold only orders within 2-4 business days. In the event your item is not in stock, we require 2 weeks to manufacture the Pocket folds before shipping them to you. You will be able to check if your order has been shipped by logging in to your account.

Pocket fold orders, unlike our invitations, are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. After assembly time will arrive in 2-4 business days.

We understand if you have an IMMEDIATE need, we do offer EXPRESS/OVERNIGHT shipping. It is best to contact us directly for emergency orders.

Pocket fold Returns
We will accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of the original date or purchase. There will be a 30% restock fee on all returned items. Partial returns will not be accepted. Items MUST BE RETURNED IN A BOX. Any returns shipped in padded envelopes, etc. will be REFUSED and returned to you. Samples, Clearance items, Discontinued items/colors, Special Orders & Custom Cuts are NON RETURNABLE.
The following steps must be taken to process a return:
DO NOT USE NEWSPAPER AS PACKAGING MATERIAL. The ink will bleed on everything exposed in your package. If you must use newspaper, wrap EVERYTHING being package in white paper or tissue.
Step 1 - Contact Us: via email at info@basicinvite.com and request a return or exchange, explaining the issue. Wait for approval before shipping the package.

Step 2 - Reseal Items: Any opened card boxes must be re-sealed with tape, it is okay if you add additional tape to the boxes. If the plastic boxes are open in transit, the pocket folds will arrive damaged and will not be refunded.. Any plastic-sealed items should be taped closed and wrapped neatly in brown paper.

Step 3 - Repackage Items: Returning products as they arrived is sometimes not enough, much of the packaging material has been compacted by the time the package has arrived to you. Please add additional packing material (tissue, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, paper towels, etc.) to every side of the box, cushioning every edge of the product. The product should not be touching any inside edges of the box. BASIC INVITE CANNOT RETURN OR EXCHANGE ANY DAMAGED ITEMS. Floating the product in the middle of a box of packaging is the best way to guarantee your items will arrive in perfect condition, in turn, avoiding any inconvenience during the return process. If you give the box a gentle shake, nothing should move.
Step 4 - Mail Items. Address to send them back to will be located with your RMA. Do not mail them back to our corporate office.
Pocket fold Refund Time
We typically processes returns once every 2 weeks. This is generally the time it takes to receive the return, examine the merchandise & process the return. You should see the credit for your return within 3-4 weeks.

All trademarks, service marks and trade names of Basic Invite used in the site are trademarks or registered trademarks of Basic Invite

Warranty Disclaimer
This site and the materials and products on this site are provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable law, Basic Invite disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Basic Invite does not represent or warrant that the functions contained in the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that the defects will be corrected, or that this site or the server that makes the site available are free of viruses or other harmful components. Basic Invite does not make any warrantees or representations regarding the use of the materials in this site in terms of their correctness, accuracy, adequacy, usefulness, timeliness, reliability or otherwise. Some states do not permit limitations or exclusions on warranties, so the above limitations may not apply to you.


Limitation of Liability
Basic Invite shall not be liable for any special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials on this site or the performance of the products, even if Basic Invite has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Applicable law may not allow the limitation of exclusion of liability or incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.


Typographical Errors
In the event that a Basic Invite product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, Basic Invite reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. Basic Invite reserves the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, Basic Invite shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.


Term; Termination
These terms and conditions are applicable to you upon your accessing the site and/or completing the registration or shopping process. These terms and conditions, or any part of them, may be terminated by Basic Invite without notice at any time, for any reason. The provisions relating to Copyrights, Trademark, Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification and Miscellaneous, shall survive any termination.


Notice
Basic Invite may deliver notice to you by means of e-mail, a general notice on the site, or by other reliable method to the address you have provided to Basic Invite.


Miscellaneous
Your use of this site shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the state of California, U.S.A., without regard to choice of law provisions, and not by the 1980 U.N. Convention on contracts for the international sale of goods. You agree that jurisdiction over and venue in any legal proceeding directly or indirectly arising out of or relating to this site (including but not limited to the purchase of Basic Invite products) shall be in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California. Any cause of action or claim you may have with respect to the site (including but not limited to the purchase of Basic Invite products) must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises. Basic Invite's failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these terms and conditions shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. Neither the course of conduct between the parties nor trade practice shall act to modify any of these terms and conditions. Basic Invite may assign its rights and duties under this Agreement to any party at any time without notice to you.


Use of Site
Harassment in any manner or form on the site, including via e-mail, chat, or by use of obscene or abusive language, is strictly forbidden. Impersonation of others, including a Basic Invite or other licensed employee, host, or representative, as well as other members or visitors on the site is prohibited. You may not upload to, distribute, or otherwise publish through the site any content which is libelous, defamatory, obscene, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, illegal, or otherwise objectionable which may constitute or encourage a criminal offense, violate the rights of any party or which may otherwise give rise to liability or violate any law. You may not upload commercial content on the site or use the site to solicit others to join or become members of any other commercial online service or other organization.


Participation Disclaimer
Basic Invite does not and cannot review all communications and materials posted to or created by users accessing the site, and is not in any manner responsible for the content of these communications and materials. You acknowledge that by providing you with the ability to view and distribute user-generated content on the site, Basic Invite is merely acting as a passive conduit for such distribution and is not undertaking any obligation or liability relating to any contents or activities on the site. However, Basic Invite reserves the right to block or remove communications or materials that it determines to be (a) abusive, defamatory, or obscene, (b) fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading, (c) in violation of a copyright, trademark or; other intellectual property right of another or (d) offensive or otherwise unacceptable to Basic Invite in its sole discretion.


Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Basic Invite, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors and suppliers (collectively the "Service Providers") from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation of these terms and conditions or any activity related to your account (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or any other person accessing the site using your Internet account.


Third-Party Links
In an attempt to provide increased value to our visitors, Basic Invite may link to sites operated by third parties. However, even if the third party is affiliated with Basic Invite, Basic Invite has no control over these linked sites, all of which have separate privacy and data collection practices, independent of Basic Invite. These linked sites are only for your convenience and therefore you access them at your own risk. Nonetheless, Basic Invite seeks to protect the integrity of its web site and the links placed upon it and therefore requests any feedback on not only its own site, but for sites it links to as well (including if a specific link does not work).
