First Starbucks

Starbucks opened its first store in 1971 in the Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle.  Because the Market is a historic district with design guidelines, the store retains its original look. The store is now internationally recognized and has obviously taken off since it’s humble beginning!

The Space Needle

The Space Needle is a tourist attraction with a lot to offer. The Needle has restaurants, group tours and a 360 degree view of Seattle! If you want to see Seattle from a prime location this would be my suggestion!

Bill Gates’ House

You can’t go in and take a tour or anything but Bill Gates’ house lies on the east shore of Lake Washington.  The house was designed by James Cutler and covers approximately 66,000 square feet.

The Seattle Invitation

On the front, feature a favorite photograph of the both of you, with a simple adorning of your names unified. On the backside, another photograph or image with the text that you create to announce your upcoming marriage. Available in gloss or matte, like all of our invitations, the Seattle is also customizable by changing font, background color, images and more.

The Plano Invitation

The Plano is a really hot design, and something you have probably never seen before in the wedding invitation world. The bride’s and groom’s names are the header. Directly below is a great photo of the couple’s choice. This photo is bordered in a scroll pattern with your choice of color. Then the wedding date acts as the footer. The back panel is where the wedding details are placed. The Plano is a fun design for ultramodern newlyweds.

Hot Air Balloon Festival

This year mark’s 33 years of Ballooning in Plano, Texas. It is a spectacular three-day event beginning at 4:00pm Friday, September 22nd at Oak Point Park. The weekend event offers something for everyone; entertainment, Saturday evening spectacular fireworks show, special kids activities, sky divers, an enormous variety of food to tempt your taste buds, and of course the incredible hot air balloons.

The Interurban Railway MuseumThe Interurban Railway Museum is strategically located in historic downtown. Amenities such as a playground, picnic tables, a bandstand, and a small pond can be found within the park surrounding. Museum guests will enjoy a tour of Railway Post Office Car #360, guided by a uniformed rail car motor man. Guests will learn about the rail post office system, discuss period advertising in the train car and learn more about electric rail travel.

Chicago is a very unique city! It has such a variety of activities and sights that I don’t know how someone would fit them into just one trip!

Attractions

Three Chicago favorites are always open and always free. Animal lovers will enjoy a visit to Lincoln Park Zoo, and make sure to check out the mind-bending reflections of the city skyline from Cloud Gate (the “Bean”) in Millennium Park, which is also home to the famous Crown Fountain that spouts water  and transforms into an ice skating rink in the winter. No trip to Chicago would be complete without a visit to Navy Pier. With 50 acres of parks, gardens, shops, places to eat and attractions, it’s no surprise the Pier remains a top Midwest tourist destination.
